Mólubdos Manteía, 2014
Mólubdos Manteía follows an ancient Greek tradition of pouring lead into water. A divination ritual that still finds its practice along different celebrations.
The series started from a collected amount of 150 kg lead ballast, which was used to stabalize boats on the water surface.
Created by a refined method of pouring molten lead - with one splash - into the water, the sculptures show their explosive growth and expressive gesture in the frozen moment of a split second.
